President Joe Biden is falling from a bike is “right,” after falling off his bicycle on Saturday while riding in a state park near his home in Rehoboth Beach,
Delaware, a White House official said.
No medical assistance is needed, the official said in a statement released to reporters accompanying the President.
“As the President said, his foot was stuck in his hip when he went down and he is not well. No medical assistance is required. The President is looking forward to spending the whole day with his family,” the official said.
Biden fell when he finished riding a bicycle with the first lady Jill Biden. The President withdrew from the group as he rode his bicycle to the crowd that had gathered nearby. Biden stopped and was seen holding his foot on the stairs as he tried to descend.
“Hold my foot” in the toe cage, Biden told reporters who accompanied him later. “I’m fine.”
US Secret Service agents assisted the President immediately after his fall.
